I love Chorizo. It's salty, spicy, full of flavor and you cannot beat it eggs, or diced potatoes wrapped in a warm tortilla. It has it's draw backs, though. 60 g. (a little over 2 ounces) is 23 g. of fat, 273 cal., and 14 g. of protein. Now, the argument there is a little Chorizo goes a long way. It's so flavorful you are using it to flavor your dishes, not as the main dish.
SO, that being said I really want to try "Soyrizo". 2 ounces is 9 g. of fat, 120 calories, 7 g. of protein. It's obviously made with soy instead of pork (hence the name). You can find it Walmart so you know it's readily available. But does it stand up to taste buds and is it worth the extra cost? I'll be weighing in this week so stay tuned!
Here to share realistic fitness/nutrition solutions for moms, busy single people, those who hate diets, you name it.I am a 33 yr. old mother of four - whatever it is...for the most part, I CAN RELATE. There are SO many diets out there - pills, FDA approved this, counting points that, 30 day destroy, shred, P90-180...enough!What doesn't sell is the best solution. I have ideas and recipes I am not compiling for a book or to sell, but that I use every day and want to share with those in the same boat. I'm talking stuff from Walmart, quick and easy, healthy, ready to freeze, etc. I'll take the time to add pics and calorie/nutrition info which will help me as well! : ) Thanks for stopping by and share your ideas, please!
